There are opportunities for highly motivated, enthusiastic
and committed post-doctoral research associates with a keen interest
in working in an interdisciplinary environment. The Platform supports
short-term feasibility studies or projects deemed too risky for responsive
mode applications, usually of 3-6 months in duration; these studies
should be in new areas complementary to on-going research. These projects
offer the opportunity to further the career development of postdoctoral
scientists by providing bridging funding towards new projects.
General enquiries regarding future opportunities are also welcomed
from outstanding post-doctoral scientists with an excellent track-record
in independent research. Candidates must have a high degree of expertise
in an area relevant to the remit of the platform grant and have a desire
to develop an awareness of techniques and research in other scientific
disciplines.
