cardiff welcomes high commissioner of india
Cardiff University was pleased to welcome Mr. Shiv Shankar Mukherjee, High Commissioner of India to the UK, today to learn more about the University and its Indian student population.
The High Commissioner met with Indian MBA and undergraduate students and Cardiff MBA alumni Nirmal Chhabria, as well as students who had recently completed UKIBC Next Generation India projects, spending the summer working in India.
The High Commissioner found out more about Cardiff's recruitment activities overseas, its strong history of recruiting Indian students and its relationship with international institutions, such as the School's collaboration with the Indian Institute of Management, Kolcata.
Students and faculty from the Schools of Law, Engineering and Journalism also gave the High Commissioner an insight into the work undertaken within their Departments.
Professor Bob McNabb, Dean of Cardiff Business School said: "It was
an honour to be able to invite the High Commissioner to the University.
We have fostered a strong relationship with India for over 20 years and
look forward to extending that relationship further in the future."
