Developments
Maindy Park
This ambitious plan will regenerate an 11 acre site in the heart of Cardiff. Prestigious new buildings in a pleasant parkland setting will allow exciting new research and public access to the University’s work.
The Cochrane Building
This new building will be at the heart of the “educational quarter” on the University’s Heath Park campus. It will offer a library, laboratories and seminar space to students at all five of the University’s healthcare schools.

Modern Working Environment (MWE)
A huge investment in the University’s Information and Communications infrastructure. Staff and students can access a vast array of information and services through a variety of media on and off campus.
The Vision
Campus Horizons aims to ensure Cardiff University has the world-leading facilities it needs for the 20th Century. The two existing campuses, Cathays Park and Heath Park, will be transformed with new buildings and refurbishments of existing facilities. A third campus, Maindy Park, will nurture and expand new research initiatives. The Modern Working Environment will provide a high-quality electronic architecture which matches the built architecture.
Many projects are now under way, some at the early planning stages, others nearing final completion.
