Professor Berry's research has attracted funding from a variety of sources including The Royal Society, the UK research councils, the Welsh Development Agency, the World Health Organisation, the Leverhulme Trust, the Wellcome Trust, the British Council, the Welsh Assembly Government, DEFRA, the Cardiff Partnership Fund, CAMTECH & various industrial sponsors. Many fruitful collaborative links with groups in academic and industrial institutions, both in the UK and overseas, have been established. Regular visits and exchanges occur between staff in Cardiff and the collaborating groups. We are fortunate in having access to all the facilities necessary to research in protein chemistry, enzymology, molecular and cell biology, either directly within Cardiff University, or via extensive collaborative links. Research results are published in the scientific press and are presented regularly at both national and international meetings. The participation of all group members in these events is actively encouraged and presentational skills are developed with assistance from the principal investigator.
