New Deputy Vice-Chancellor visits DGFC

4 August 2010

Elizabeth Treasure visits DGFC

Benoit Goossens, the two PTYs Jennifer Shepperson and Alice Evans, and Professor Elizabeth Treasure

Professor Elizabeth Treasure, who is the new Deputy Vice Chancellor of Cardiff University from August 1 2010, visited Danau Girang Field Centre with her two sons, Jonathan and William. Elizabeth was until recently the Dean and Head of the School of Dentistry and a Professor in Dental Public Health.

They spent four days at the centre with Benoit, during which they managed to see orangutans, elephants, proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs, frogs, monitor lizards, crocodiles and many species of birds. Elizabeth was very impressed by the facilities and we hope to see her again soon!
