Research Overview

My research interests include soil, ecosystem and climate change ecology.  To date this has centered mainly on soil biodiversity; exploring the mechanisms by which soil organisms interact to identify relationships between soil biota diversity and ecosystem processes. Specifically, my work aims to generate the mechanistic understanding required to link individual- with ecosystem-level processes to predict accurately how ecosystems – and the services they provide – will respond to global environmental change.
