St Carannog
from Geoffrey ASHE - King Arthur's Avalon, Collins, London, 1957, p.110.

"This Cambrian saint, like many others had a wonderful floating altar. He launched it in the Bristol Channel, resolving to preach wherever it landed. It ran aground near 'Dindraithov', Arthur's citadel. Carannog followed and met Arthur looking for a huge serpent which had devastated the district of Carrum. He gave the hero his blessing and asked whether he knew where the altar was. Arthur promised to tell him, if he would help him in dealing with the serpent. Carannog prayed. The monster slid submissively to his feet, and he ordered it into banishment. Then Arthur produced the altar. He had tried to use it as a table, but everything which he put on it fell off. In token of gratitude he gave Carrum to the saint, on condition that he stayed in Dumnonia. The location of this tale is the country between the Quantocks and Exmoor. Dindraithov is Dunster."
