CEBE

As part of the Subject Network of the Higher Education Academy, the Centre for Education in the Built Environment provides discipline based support to enhance the quality of learning and teaching in the UK Higher Education Built Environment communities

CEBE’s mission is to support the community of Built Environment educators in its endeavours to shape knowledgeable, skilled, distinctive, adaptable and creative graduates. This is achieved through the sharing and dissemination of good practice, events and publications and engagement with pedagogic research.

 

CEBE’s key Activities include:

• Running workshops and conferences for new and experienced lecturers
• Publication of briefing guides, case studies and working papers, highlighting good practice in learning, teaching and assessment activities
• The publication of two academic journals JEBE and Transactions
• Research and development work related to the teaching and learning of Built Environment Subjects.

• Encouraging the engagement of academia, industry and the professions in the education of students.
