Responsibilities
Stathis Arapostathis is working as a Research Associate in the Historical Analysis Workstream of the Transition Pathways project with Peter Pearson. He works on policy relevant historical cases from the UK energy sector in the 20th century. His role involves research in parliamentary and governmental archives as well as review of primary and secondary published sources.

He finished his DPhil in the History of Technology under the supervision of Prof. Robert Fox in the Faculty of Modern History, University of Oxford in 2006. His thesis entitled:‘Consulting Engineers in the British Electric Light and Power Industry, c 1880-1914’. Since 2006 he has worked in several national and international research projects in the history and policy of energy technologies (mainly electricity and gas) in the universities of Athens, Leeds and Edinburgh.
